Beginning Tree Climbing:

$525.00 per person
​This 2-day course covers the basic skills necessary to climb a tree utilizing rope and saddle. Students are trained on the basic professional climbing system and instructed on proper use and care of the equipment. Training introduces the skills necessary to assess tree structure, enter a tree, maneuver around the canopy, and return to the ground. All equipment is provided during the course, which allows climbers to delay purchasing their own gear so they can make more informed decisions. Beginning Tree Climbing provides the foundation for all people looking to climb mature trees!

- Tree & hazard assessment, throwball and basic entry, basic climbing and hitches/knots
​- MRS/DdRT (ascent, maneuvering, advancement, descent)

Tree Climbing Advanced Techniques:

In this 1-day course, you will expand your skill-set to improve climbing efficiency, reduce energy loss and fatigue, extend the range of access throughout the crown of the tree. Advanced climbing equipment and techniques are covered. Beginning climbers, once seasoned, are ready to expand their skill-set by learning new pieces of equipment and techniques which will reduce their fatigue and extend their range within the tree. An assortment of equipment is introduced during the course, allowing climbers to delay purchasing their own gear so they can make more informed decisions. The course also introduces proper positioning for pruning and rigging.

Pruning & Tree Surgery:  (1 day)

​Learn the art and science of pruning for health, structure and hazard reduction. Students are introduced to the proper pruning cut, pruning methods, classes of pruning. Basic surgery techniques are introduced: cabling, bracing, rigging, guying.
